The UK Language Exchange Tour (Cambridge)

20 S3 & S4 students were selected to join this 16-day language exchange tour in Cambridge, the UK. In the tour, students attended language school, stayed with host families, joined extra-curricular activities with students from different nationalities and day tours in several English cities.

Students expressed that they had a great experience in the tour. Not only did they meet lots of friends from different parts of the world like Spain, Italy, Russia, Mexico, Argentina, etc, they bonded with their host families who took care of them. Through doing projects and staging a talent show together with their classmates, students immersed into the English-speaking environment and became more confident in speaking English.

The sightseeing part was equally impressive, as students visited majestic landmarks in London and historic architecture in Ely and Bury St Edmunds. They learnt about artefacts in the British Museum, experience food culture in Borough Market, as well as strolling along River Thames under the sun. Overall, it was an eye-opening and once-in-a-lifetime experience for most students.
